The Story

'Dear Felicity, Here it goes. I've watched you for four years. Always wondered what you were like ... what was going on in your mind all the time that you were so quiet, just thinking, drawing in your notebook. I should have just asked you, but I never asked you. So now, four years later, I don't even know you, but I admire you. Well this makes me sound crazy, but I'm okay with that. So take care of yourself.

And that's how it begins.

On graduation day, Ben Covington signs Felicity Porter's high school yearbook and alters the course of both their lives. Felicity is so stunned by what her secret crush has written, that she throws caution to the wind and follows her heart ... and Ben ... to New York City.

We follow Felicity's graduation from high school in all their amorous, confusing, humorous, harrowing, and often bittersweet intensity. The series captures the challenges of learning, working, loving, and dealing with the responsibilities of adulthood in the Big Apple for both Felicity and Ben, and their ever widening circle of friends at the fictional University of New York.

With its smart writing, ultra-cool soundtrack and talented cast of fresh faces, Felicity made star Keri Russell an overnight success and her gorgeous hair the talk of the town. Oh, and did we mention the love-triangle? Over the course of her college career, Felicity's on-again, off-again romance with Ben is complicated by her on-again, off-again romance with the Noel Crane, whom she first meets as a resident advisor at her college dorm Kelvin Hall.

In addition, Felicity's journey to adulthood is punctuated by hard work (at a Dean & Deluca coffee shop), the occasional bout of hard partying (oops), and a ping-pong battle to choose between her art and her desire to study medicine. Along the way her journey leads to some to some interesting people and unusual experiences.

Sharing her struggles are the two men she loves and can't seem too decided between. Played by Scott Speedman and Scott Foley, Ben and Noel alternately vie for Felicity's affections (and sometimes those of other girls) over the course of the series' four years and 84 episodes. At various points along the way we become acquainted with the other people in Felicity's life, including her friend Julie, goth girl roommate Megan, pre-med student Elena, 'master' inventor Sean, coffeehouse manager Javier, rival Hannah, and a host of others.

We all have to grow up sometime. For Felicity, that time is now but. But judging from the company she keeps, it sure looks worth the effort.
