Fernando Sucre was born and raised in Chicago, and since coming to Fox River has been a model prisoner. Sucre’s offense was holding up a liquor store with an unloaded firearm. He did so to secure enough cash to buy an engagement ring for his girlfriend Maricruz, whom he had met three years earlier. The police were on the scene before he had a chance to flee and he was arrested immediately. Sucre and Maricruz had been dating for two years prior to Sucre’s incarceration and six months ago, Maricruz moved to New York after accepting a job as a buyer for a major Manhattan fashion retailer. A month later, Sucre’s cousin Hector also moved to New York. He told his friends that his company transferred him, but those who know him best suspect he requested the transfer so that he could be closer to Maricruz.

Inmate has logged visits from Maricruz Delgado and cousin Hector. Inmate is approved for monthly conjugal visits with Maricruz Delgado.
